The Election Commission of IIT Kanpur (EC IITK) is responsible for the conduct of free and fair elections to the Students' Gymkhana. It operates under the provisions laid down in the Students' Gymkhana Constitution.

Responsibilities

• Issue and oversee the election schedule and notification
• Verify eligibility and scrutinise nomination forms
• Enforce the Model Code of Conduct for all parties
• Conduct and supervise the voting process
• Declare results and certify elected representatives
• Adjudicate complaints and disputes during elections

Governing Document

All proceedings are governed by the Students' Gymkhana Constitution and supplementary election rules notified by the Commission.
